Denim is looking incredibly fun and I want it all! More than ever, designers have been innovative with this classic fabric. There are jeans, jackets, shirts and skirts in different silhouettes to suit every need.

Now that it is officially summer in Australia, it’s time to get the legs out! Not everyone wants to wear short shorts however, so it’s great that so many locals designers have added longer length shorts to their summer collections. I love that these bermuda shorts are in woven tailored fabrics, so they can be dressed up very easily. I recently purchased a pair from Life With Bird and wore it to the office yesterday with a pinstriped shirt and nude pumps (see below). For a more casual look, I will style these shorts with a striped tee and slides.
A current obsession with fashion bloggers and the style set, Cecilie Copenhagen is the go-to designer for cool yet simple dressing. Easy, timeless pieces form this small range that can be worn in warmer months or layered under coats and knits in cooler months. Shop the collection here, or also available at Browns Fashion and Parlour X
One of my favourite trends is wearing one colour from head-to-toe. Shades of grey are the latest hues that are stylish and easy to put-together in one ensemble. A close cousin of black, grey can be worn casually with white sneakers or dressed up with sleek accessories. The must-have pieces to bring this look together include tailored slouch pants, ribbed knits and turtlenecks.
The Adidas Stan Smith is the must-have sneaker of 2014. It now comes in a variety of colours, but the white with the blue heel patch is my pick. I always prefer basic colours for my wardrobe! Whichever colour you choose, this low-top sneaker is easily styled with different outfits.
